Pass The Time For Free With Online Games
If you are like my daughter, you love to spend time each day playing fun games online for free each day. She has a few favorite sites that have the games she usually plays, but she is always on the look out for websites with new games to play for free.
Since she is 10 years old, she loves dress up games, roller coaster games, hunting games, horse games, animal video games and political games. She also loves Bratz and sometimes plays a Bratz makeover game where you get to pick hairstyles, makeup, clothes and more in order to get the doll to look the way she wants.
Many grownups also love free online games, often for when they are taking breaks at work and are sitting at their wired desk. There are lots of puzzle and non-gambling card games available, as well as racing games and shooter games. One of my daughter’s favorite sites is a political game site that is fun for grownups too. One of her favorite games is one where you can beat up your least favorite politico online and get your aggression out without actually hurting anyone.
Some of the best online games, the ones with the most elaborate designs and game play, are not free. However, many of these sites offer free game samples and free months of game play so you can try out the site before you decide to buy. My daughter has signed up for a few paid sites over the last few years and really spends the most time on those, so I imagine that they really are the best since she is not as concerned about getting her money’s worth as an adult would be, but rather judges by how much enjoyment she gets.
The Oldest Surviving Carpet in the World
The art of Persian Oriental rug weaving has been around for centuries. Carpet weaving is an essential part of Persian art and culture and dates back to ancient Persia. Over time this art underwent many changes, but the principles and level of quality remained the same.
Wool is the most common material used for carpets, but oftentimes silk would be used to weave these precious oriental rugs. Silk carpets date back to the sixteenth century of oriental carpet weaving. Silk is more expensive, and less durable, but the value does tend to increase with age.
Unfortunately, over the passage of time, materials such as wool, cotton and silk start to decay. This leaves hardly any remnants for archaeologists wanting to research the history of Persian rugs and carpets.
In a very beneficial archeological discovery in 1949, the oldest Persian carpet in the world was found. The carpet was found in the grave of a Scythian prince amongst the ices of the Pazyryk valley in Siberia. It is thought that perhaps the ice from the mountains preserved the carpet, which has been dated through radiocarbon testing as being woven in the 5th Century BC.
The Pazyryk carpet is 283 by 200cm in size and has 36 symmetrical knots per cm squared. This oriental carpet indicates a long history of evolution of this art, because of the advanced weaving technique that can be matched up to the technique of latter centuries. The Pazyryk carpet is considered to be the oldest carpet in the world.
Investing in property
Deciding to begin investing in houses in the current depression/recession is a difficult one. Much of the advertising being given out is a downright con.The real question is when to invest in property.
The truth of the matter is that property prices have not reached bottom yet and a decision needs to be made as to whether an investment property is for a quick profit by flipping the home, or as a long-term investment that will provide an income. In many parts of the world, homes prices are more appealing for the buyer interested in long-term income, but not so much for the investor wishing to make a capital gain, especially in the short term.
There is no doubt that house prices still have a way to change , and the direction is down wards. There may be a few places, especially in the US, where prices have reached maximum fall, but these will tend to be in markets where there is a huge amount of inventory of foreclosure homes.suach as Nevada with huge inventory of REO properties.
Timing is vital, when buying investment property because there are some markets that may never recover, and some markets that have already begun recovery. There are substantial differences between the most boom-fueled markets and those that saw slower, more sustainable growth during the credit boom. Those most likely to recover first are the ones that were least affected by the boom. Those most likely to recover last will be the ones where artificial inflation created massive increases in home prices over the last ten years or so.
The governments are applying massive amount of effort topumping up the property bubble by Some of them are even in danger of going broke by doing so, but are desperate enough to try even if they do end up going into default. The English government for example has printed several hundred billion in new money in an effort to prevent a market correction.
Rising numbers of bank owned properties are still dragging down the market in the USA, and the governmental intervention has done little to stop the flow of property into the banks. There are massive quantities of foreclosed properties in the system that has not yet been placed on the market. This approach of allowing the banks to hold so much property back from the market place must surely backfire, and there must come a time when this stock is released.
Investing inreal estate owned property is a risk at the moment, which requires careful consideration before doing so. There is substantial money to be made if the correct market is chosen, and due diligence done before investing. At the other end of the problem are those wishing to sell rental real estate in an extremely down market. The value of such properties is difficult to assess with the present low sales volumes, and any median price figures need to be examined closely to determine the level of sales before making a decision.

Winning Car Auction is Not As Hard As You Think
Bidding at a seized car auction is easy. Bidding and actually winning a car at a very low price is another story. Someone may win a car for $200. As unreasonable sounding as it may be, but this is 100% true. Can you own a seized car at a extremely low price? The answer is”YES”. But the question is how do we make it?
Seized car auctions, a good option for those that know what they are doing, because if you do not you won’t be getting a good deal after all. Set a budget and stick to it. This will avoid you from overspending. Most car auction experts will advice you to do this as well. Therefore, it is better to have one before you go to an auction site. Do some researches first about the car you want to buy.
Seized car auctions happen in a few ways. A bank usually repossess the cars of people who are failed in fulfilling their car loans on time and will then auction off the car and finally start the Seized Cars For Sale auction. Furthermore, there are a few state and local government agencies will seized the vehicles of people that have busted and auction off their cars.
If you are participating on a seized car auction for the first time, you will notice that how quick the cars are bid and won. In a matter of minutes, the seized car auction is finish and you will be left out with nothing to bid on. So, it is advisable to come early, check the vehicles, write down your chosen cars, and bid while maintaining your composure. Many first timers tend to get carried away with the fast pace bidding and they always end up buying a car higher than their planned budget or getting a car that is higher than its actual market value.
Buyers will get the opportunity to inspect the vehicles. You are however not allowed to test-drive the cars. There are no warranties provided or guarantees that the cars are in good shape which is really same as the purchased a used car off a sales lot.
It is very advisable to bring someone with you. Someone who knows about cars is sufficient. This way, you can always obtain some useful advices about the cars you want to buy in the auction.
Finally make sure that you bring sufficient money on a seized car auction because all transactions must be finished right after the auction. Therefore make sure that your pocket can pay the bill.
Encouraging Employee Satisfaction
I am not happy. The printer has still not been fixed and now my chair is broken. The company is falling apart. The boss is okay but really doesn’t seem to have a clue as to what is really going on.
That new guy that started last week, who no one bothered to introduce, was given a job that he had no idea how to do; why didn’t they just ask me? I could have told them that a new set of drawings had been issued so even if he did know what he was doing the drawings he was using were obsolete anyway. I don’t know why I bother sometimes.
I went for a drink with some of the guys last night after work. No one is happy and Sally from Accounts says that she has just about had enough and is thinking of asking for a rise and if they don’t give it to her she is going to quit.
The management here just don’t have a clue, we are haemorrhaging money through our inefficiencies and they think that sending out memo’s telling us that they are introducing new procedures for claiming expenses is going to make a difference – whoopee do.
I’m going to ask for a pay rise, if Sally can get one so should I.
And so it goes on.
When a company loses touch with their employees these are the sort of thoughts that start to play on the minds of individuals; the lack of appreciation, a broken chair, the blaming of ‘management’, even questioning the futility of what they are doing. Small problems rankle and a disparaging and destructive attitude develops. Can you be sure that it isn’t going on right now in your organisation?
What should be social events held outside the office become no more than a forum for complaints and negativity grows among people who feel unable to effect change. Diverse frustration will often amalgamate into a demand for an increase in remuneration, as though like a cheap fix more money will briefly reduce the pain.
Left by management, undiscovered and unaware, the concerns of this employee will inevitable find solace with their colleagues own individual concerns, where the only common demand will be for an increase in remuneration, more paid holidays and a reduction in working hours, all of which will not fix the broken chair, ensure that new personnel are in future properly introduced, trained and managed nor help management identify areas of inefficiency.
Organisations have a habit of pigeon holing people, physically through offices, cubicles or workstations and also in terms of responsibility. It can prove productive if there is effective and strong management in place to support this structure, but over time weak or inappropriate management can infiltrates the management chain and if it does it can be expected that cracks will start to appear.
Looking at an organization from the top down all the corporate garden can appear to be in full bloom as middle management either disguise or are just unaware of festering problems.
A very skewed view can be the result of relying on a limited number of indicators, just as a one eyed person finds judging distance difficult. By establishing procedures that sample the mood from different perspectives throughout the organisation good management will be able to form a rounded picture.
The benefits of establishing good, frequent and extensive communication channels are both direct and indirect.
Greater respect will be given to a senior management team that is known to have their ear to the ground and where they keep the middle management honest by knowing that middle managers can no longer shrug away the senior manager’s searching inquiry “How is everything going?” question with a non-committal “Fine”; It is my experience that if someone replies with “fine” you need to dig deeper and ask if they really know what is going on.
Most principals of an organisation will not have the luxury of spending time walking the floor and discussing the issues of individuals but through online employee saltisfaction surveys they can achieve the same benefits and almost become omnipresent.
Online surveys provide an ideal method to establish good and effective communications between the employer and employee. Using a survey hosting service they can now be created and published with speed and ease.
Surveys can be deployed in seconds by utilising the Internet and intranet, they can be completed easily by employees and the results analyzed in real-time exposing the ‘problems’ and giving early warning towards common themes of dissatisfaction.
Online employee satisfaction surveys have the ability to get to the heart of an organisation, confirm not only that the engine room is working but that there is sufficient coal in the bunker.
Online surveys provide many benefits, not only do they help identified concerns, but the employees voices are heard and their views, right or wrong, have a forum.
Although online surveys will not on their own resolve problems they do help identify the concerns of the employees and that in turn gives senior management the opportunity to fix the problems that need fixing, if people then do decide to leave the organisation they will hopefully be doing so for the right and not wrong reasons.
Although monetary concerns can often be cited as the main reason good people decide to leave a company dig a little deeper and it is often found that it is more to do with one or more of the following:-
- the workplace environment;
- a lack of accomplishment
- limited training and feedback;
- lack of a career path;
- over work;
- lack of trust and respect with the senior management.
A well planned employer/employee communications programme that can identify the individual and common concerns of employees will give senior management the opportunity to address root problems and not just the symptoms of employee dissatisfaction, allowing them to demonstrate to their employees that they are not viewed simply as interchangeable parts that can be used for any job at hand.
Each individual organisation needs to customised their own employee survey so that it is relevant for them. To get an idea as to how effective online surveys can be try completing the sample employee survey, then view the results of the satisfaction questionnaire and just think of the benefits to management being able to measure so easily the heart beat of the organization.
